My child plays in the CYC league. They forbid metal bats.
ok, does that mean you support this lawsuit?

I have not expressed an opinion regarding the lawsuit.

I told what the CYC league in St. Louis was doing.
I didn't say you did. I asked a question based on the information you provided in the thread for clarification. Now I am clear that you prefer to not answer drinker drinker

Just too tired from a lovely weekend to have an opinion.

should the child that hit the linedrive be tried for assault and battery? I mean he hit the ball that disabled the kid.

They going to sue the parents of the batter because their kid was strong enough, accurate enough to hit the ball?

Sue the ball maker for not creating a ball that fell apart if hit hard enough to cause harm?

Though it is extremely unfortunate that it happened.
It was an accident! Accidents happen.

This goes back to the comment in another thread about the p*ssification of the American people. I can't argue that it's not being done, especially in light of stories like this one.

When you sign your child up for ANY sport you are accepting that they might get hurt. If your daughter takes up Ice Skating and she ends up cut in the face from a skate, you knew that could happen and don't have the right to sue, in my estimation, you know that when your child gets signed up for biddy basketball, a missed shot could richochet and bust their nose, which could conceivably kill, but you signed the paper, knowing that there are risks.

So much crap to protect children, I made it out of childhood just fine... Like Carlin says, natural selection: Little Johnny eats too many marbles, doesn't grow up to have children of his own.
