It's kinda hit and miss, with more hits than misses.

Mah finances HAVE been rather hit-and-miss these last couple of years, but NOT because of bad investments on my part (more do to a continued out-sourcing of my work). I make (what I think is) enough money to float a couple of months, and something comes along to mess things up (the latest is a conflict I've been having with my cell phone company- someone fraudulently purchased phones using my account, and the company is dragging its heels in correcting the problem).

I've already got a financial planner I talk to on a fairly regular basis. Or at least I DID... up until I couldn't afford to pay her any more.

And I HAVE been trying to take too much responsibility. Or rather, too much responsibility has been placed at my feet. You just gotta love lazy family members who don't even want to deal with their own problems, you know...

All in all, a somewhat accurate reading about an overly-vague topic.
