A handsome man in red robes enters the tavern. He sits at one of the many tables and opens a large book murmuring to himself. It looks like he is studying some magical spells as tiny blue smoke escapes his fingers occassionally. Boromir recognizes the man immediately and brings a glass of grapan liquor to him. Boromir: Ah if it is Milantor Seriner who steps into the tavern. Boy will Criani be glads to see you. Milantor: Oh I have already talk to her this morning. I thought I go sell a few of my health potions before coming back in. Boromir: Well it is truly good to see you Milantor: Like wise and I will have a few drinks before retiring to one of your fine rooms tonight. Boromir: Why of course and I will won't stop you from your studies. Milantor smiles and grabs his thin necked glass of sweet liquor and sips on it before flipping a page from his book studying its contents. Boromir smiles and goes back to the kitchen. He has to mop the floors today and scrubs the counters. It looks like Calliope really cooks up a storm in there. As I enter the inn I see a very nice looking man in red robes so I shyly aproch him, hello my name is Kory and I heard that you are a legendary cleric selling potions. He looks up and smiles. It is a pleasure to meet you. I sell one healing potion for 10 gold pieces. Would you like any? I was wondering if you might sell a rejuevenating potion the one to renew some ones life if they die in battle? Thank you Then I will but one healing potion sir. Thank you and gives 10 gold |

The hero cleric smiles and pays for his drink before leaving to his room to rest for the day.

*Eventually he he heard the news of some High and fancy Cleric running around stealing his customers and an Irate Raquil Neswick Storms into Tavern. He isn't carrying his scroll on him, perhaps he is expecting something and not wanting to carry any unnecessary weight.*
Alright, where's this "Legendary Cleric" I heard about wrecking my business?! |
|

*Not finding who he was looking for, Raquil leaves, planning to catch the man tomorrow.*

Calliope comes from the kitchen...she thought she heard footsteps..."Im done for the day"...She goes to the door and lock up and retreats to her special room that Criani has arranged...grabbing some food to take with her....walks up the steps and goes to her room...opens the door and falls on the glorious bed...staring at the ceiling wondering what it would be like to visit her father in Hilly Dangar...She drifts off to sleep

Criani woke to the feel of Beast's cold, wet nose on her cheek. She rubbed her eyes, stretched a moment, mumbling, "Hold on a min, bouy. I'm comin'." Beast sits patiently waiting for his mistress. He stared soulfully at Criani, he missed her so while he was away. Finally, Criani, awakes again with a jolt. She was supposed to be doing something. Oh, yes, Beast! He needs me! She arose, put her wrap on and silently tread the stairs down to the tavern, Beast right behind her. She let him out the door to do his business, while he was doing so, she went to look at the books, as she oftimes did in the nite when she couldn't sleep. She made notes of the brews needed, meat and veggies too. Tomorrow she would go to market and gather things needed. As she wrote her list, she thought of how happy she was to see Milantor today. It was always a pleasure to see her old friend. She hoped he came back tomorrow to see her. She hears a whine at the door and returned to open it to let her faithful companion in, then went back up the stairs and plopped back into bed. Beast curled up beside her, taking 3/4 of the large bed. She threw her arm over him and smiled as she dozed off, thinking how happy she was to have him back w/her.

XI (day 97) of the time of the sun era
Yet another sunny and beautiful day hits the roofs of the buildings in Sinatorium in the town. The streets are filled with knights and royal guards patrolling and watching every building. The inhabitants slowly leave their homes to open up the many stores scattered throughout town. The Green Dragon’s Inn barkeep hangs up the meal of the day and opens all the windows to allow fresh air to enter the murky tavern. The sign reads “Poached Sunfish freshly caught from the waters off Sinatorium’s harbor. It is served with steamed vegetables. |
|
|
|
Criani and Beast enter the tavern after their morning run. Beast headed over to his spot beside the fireplace; from this vantage point, he sees all. The poached sunfish smells wonderful and Criani's mouth waters. She looks around to make sure all is in place before heading to the kitchen, to see how all fares there.
As she strolls, she thinks, "It's so beautiful out today and people are busy on the streets. It's going to be a gooood day!" |

Calliope wakes to a meow, "Oh my goodness, my friend." Calliope while on her adventure the eve before had befriended a horned cat, picked him up and taken him home... She sits on the bed petting his beautiful soft fur as he purs and rubs his head against her knee..."I must think of a name to call you, but for now you must stay in my room while Ciriani is here with her great dane, Beast. I dont know how you two will get along, so I will fill your bowls with water and food each day and you will surely be with me when I venture with my friends!" She slips off the bed, stretches her arms, smiles at her new pet. Opens the door slightly so he cant run out and scrambles down the steps into the tavern...She misses the last step and flies to the floor, her knees skinned and her hair over her face.

She picks herself up off the floor, shakes her head back and walks over to the stone slate hanging on the wall...writes the menu for the day as Boromir has instructed...
MENU OF THE DAY: Poached Sunfish Steamed vegetables Fried Bread slices |
|
|
|
She then enters the kitchen grabs two bowls filling one with water and the other with salmon chunks. She pushes through the door, ever so slightly. She grabs a rag hanging on a hook with her mouth to use for her skinned knees and proceeds slower than usual to the steps.. One step at a time she retreats to her room to feed her new pet.

*Caratacus strolls into the Inn, looking tired and road weary again, although not so weary as the last time he visited. He moves to his favorite chair by the side of the hearth, props his staff against a nearby table and tips his chair back against the stone.
He scrutinized the menu on his way in and realised that, being Earth-oriented, he probably wouldn't enjoy the fish, having been born and raised in the woodlands and eaten meat and vegetables all of his life.* "Calliope...Boromir!", He calls loudly, "It is I, Caratacus, lately returned from another trip in the outlying lands. I am famished and parched, I don't want fish but would enjoy some of the steamed vegetables and some bread and brew." *He sniffs the air and suddenly notices a huge war dog looking at him with his head cocked to one side. Without moving from his relaxed sitting position, he addresses the animal directly.* "Hello, Brother Dog. Do not take my raised voice to mean that I am here to make trouble. I hope that you do not object to my sharing the other end of the hearth with you..." He offers the back of his hand to the great hound for inspection. The huge animal sniffs inquisitively, then snuffs out a great puff of air from his nostrils. Satisfied that Caracatus is a fellow creature of the land and no threat, he returns to his watchful position, gazing around the Inn before lowering his huge head back onto his paws. *Caratacus sniffs the air again and recognizes a faint scent of another animal of the land, not that of the Great Hound but something distinctly different...something...feline. Glancing quickly around the in and seeing nothing resembling a cat of any kind, he dismisses the scent as that of a cat that had probably wandered into the Inn and spying the war dog, departing quickly but leaving a lingering scent. He looks again in the direction of the kitchen as his stomach rumbles in protest of its emptiness.* "Calliope? Boromir? By the Gods, what does a man have to do to get something to eat in this Inn?" Maybe I should go to the Red Lantern, he thinks...but being so tired, he decides to wait a few minutes before stirring himself again. Within a few minutes, he is snoring in his chair, balanced on the back two legs, as usual. |
