Topic: Forces in the Night | |
---|---|
I don't think I've already posted this one. If so, I am sorry.
Late at night when dark is still And unseen eyes watch from corners A petition is raised on whispered faith And lifted on angels' wings. The faith of a saint rises and soars As spirit beings all await. Two worlds face each other, A prize marked between them: An eternal in limited world. But that soul they each yearn for, Beyond flesh and blood, Wrestles not in this ever dark place, It nestles at rest in the shadow Of Almighty God's own banner. Late in the night when dark is still And opposite forces square off, A soul whispers the Name and rests, As unseen forces meet hand to hand. A soul is at peace because long ago, Unseen eyes were bound in dark places, And this soul was covered with Calvary's blood To forever abide in peace. |

Thanx. One night, very late, I really did feel like there was a presence in a corner, watching me. But I prayed, and my faith in God's protection reinforced. I wrote this right then, and then went back to sleep.
Blessings in Christ! |
