definitely... theres a fine balance to keep. you don't want to put yourself out there too much for fear of getting hurt, but not giving enough of yourself makes it more likely that the relationship will not make it

I think so, you could be come over cautious to the point were jealousy kicks in, and that can be a relationship breaker in my books.

Absolutely. But usually when you are overly cautious it is due to the fact that you've been screwed over in one or more past relationships. Sometimes you need to just go with it and take that next chance.

I'd rather have it work out the way my last relationship did than lose out on the chance for happiness, though. Being to guarded can keep people away. I am pretty open and quite understanding, and I feel a need for reciprocity in that.
