These things are simply torture devices. Everytime I turn around they are being used for pain compliance and in some cases as a replacement for actual work. Why listen to an angry person, when you can just zap the crap out of them? However, simple investigation will tell you that these devices operate within the amperes needed to interrupt the natural rhythm of the heart. |

I'm still can't get over the fact that they tazzered a guy who locked himself out of his own house and he was going in a window. Then a judge found him guilty of resisting arrest.
HOW? The police never gave him an opportunity to resist arrest. They saw him going in a window, told him to turn around but used the tazer imediately, not waiting for him to comply with the order. And the officer who told the woman to stand up and used the tazer on her the instant she did. She was a drunk trying to comply, and he used the tazer on her over and over. And the judge sided with the cop and said he didn't do anything wrong. there are too many other examples to list them all. I just don't get it. It was supposed to be a non-lethal alternative to guns. But they are using them in instances when a gun would never have come into play. Therefore, the tazer should not be coming into play. |

I've not been hit with a TASER brand, but I have allowed myself to be hit with a stun gun, so I could know what that felt like. Of course that was before all this came out about the deaths. I would much rather get me a dose of pepper spray. No risk of my heart stopping with the spray... both suck though! Unlike the media, I've been looking into this case and I'll be the first to tell you that there are times that the ZzzZOttt gun has saved lives. No question, but its not being presented, in my estimation, with the proper risks being layed out to be weighed. Then we go back to these God Complex having so called civil servants misusing a tool that has the potential to kill. (not all cops, I have friends who are cops who would not treat someone like cattle to be shocked into submission) |
