while the foolish humans were fighting the demon Hexaforey flew in the window. He was growling and snarling at the men standing between them and the woman on the table. I came for my slave...you see she bares my mark and if you try to be brave then you better be ready to fight to death.

"It is our duty to protect the weak and the ill, and I will protect this girl from the evils such as you," Shouts the Cleric.

"Our Duty? have you gone mad? You're on your own," Jiacomo yells, and steps back, "If you want to fight, that is one thing, I am not one for suicide, but, I can put up a distraction, I learned this out in the wild, I figuerd it lit my way in the dark, I summon [orb of sunbeam]"

A blinding white light fills the room, as The Cleric grabs his patient, and runs past Jiacomo out the door, Jiacomo, not being a dummy himself, leaves the creature in the blinding light and follows the cleric.

The cleric and Jiacomo ran as fast as they could into the woods carrying the woman. They could here the demon following them when out of the bushes jumps a centaur named Strazom. He shoots the demon in the chest with an enchanted arrow that disolves the demon to goo. Strazom tells Jiacomo to put the woman on his back that he would take her to his village and hide her but that he must promise to find the vampire and kill him before she turned or he would cut off her head.

*stuttering* Jiacomo replies, "You want me to kill a vampire? Maybe we could go to Sinatorium to conscript some help."

"First, you must survive the night" speaks a disembodied voice from the gloom.
"Half a mile to the east you'll find a cave, protected by enchanment. If you make it there and stay until morning, I may introduce myself and offer what assistance I can. Hurry, before you are tracked."
With a soft whisper of the wind, the mysterious helper is gone.
"Do we trust this advice, or not" Jiacoma wonders out loud.
"What choice do we have?" replies the Clerk and sets out to the east.

Jiacomo and the cleric didn't realize that Idara the dark elf had seen in her bewitched plate what they had done the Hexaforey the demon and heard the centaur's plan to hide the woman. She knew that she couldn't follow them into the cave because the enchanment would weaken her powers so she focused on the woman while Jiacomo and the cleric headed for the cave. Idara packed her bag of evil elements and bones and headed for the centaur village.

**Suddenly a Griffon flies above. It screeches as two others join it. Their eyes gaze below**

The moon is high in the sky as our would be heros Jiacomo and the Cleric make for the cave, when in the trees all they can see are rows of little red eyes fixed on them, vampire bats.

"I do not like the looks of this, Bashir," Jiacomo whispers to the Cleric.

"They would have come after us already, Jiacomo, I belive they know we are up to something and are watching, maybe they are from a rival guild..."

Just as Bashir was mid sentance, A Bat takes flight, and lands in front of them, and a cloud of smoke rises as a Vampire in human form appears.

"Ahh yes, you are absolutely right, the Vampire you seek is Vladimiras Bloodripper of Lueniton, we the Vampires of the Greinwalden Guild offer our support in the removal of Vladimiras from his throne. Fear not, we do not consume human blood, for it is not in our nature, we only pray on Goblin. By the way, my name is Jericho Bloodpool, I am the second in command for the Greinwalden Guild, and if you join us, I will take you to meet Ahnif Bloodstar, our leader."

Making her way to the centaur village Idara the dark elf uses a spell to make herself invisible so she can enter the village unseen. She looks in a window and sees Hexaforey standing guard over the biten woman talking to his village elder. If the human's don't complete the task of freeing her soul from eternal damnation I swear my my sword that i will cut off her head and put her to rest....Hexaforey tells the elder. Idara cracks the door open and slips in....the centaurs stand fast feeling the cold wind that blows behind her. They can feel her presence but can't see her. Hexaforey holds his sword tight racking his hooves across the dirt floor. Idara says her spell aloud in elvish tongue and the centaurs can hear it but can't understand it. Hexaforey tries running around the woman's body but doesn't realize that Idara isn't standing on the floor, she's standing on the bed over the woman's body. She reaches down cuts the woamn's forhead making blood run down her face and then quickly exits and the door slams shut behind her. Hexaforey runs out the door trying to find Idara but sees nothing but the darkness of the night. Then a loud wicked laugh fills the air and all the centaurs in the village stop what they are doing and cringe with fear. Hexaforey come quick says the elder from the woman's bedside. When Hexaforey gazed upon the woman he could see black veins appearing all over her body and her teeth were starting to become pointy as she opened her mouth to take in a large gasp of air. Hexaforey looks at the elder and says...she has been put under a spell to make the venom work faster, if the human's don't find the vampire that did this and kill him before dawn she will have to be killed.

Calliope, the small hobbit sneaks behind the trees watching Jiacomo and Bashir speak to the rebel vampire...she is unsure what they are speaking of so she moves in closer under the tree where all the follower bat with red eyes stare at the commotion. She steps on a sharp object with her barefeet. Calliope let out a shriek, "Ouch...ooooohhhh, hurt, hurt, hurt". Those nearby hear something and turn their heads.

Ahnif Bloodstar flies over to the nose..."what are you doing here you nosy little hobbit" grabbing the back of her shirt and carrying her back to the humans. "if you want to stick your nose where is doesn't belong then you can continue this journey with the humans". Calliope was shakin and scared and could only look at the vampire..she was too afraid to open her mouth. As for you humans listen carefully to what i'm saying if you want to complete this task and come out alive. "as i said before, we will not harm you, your blood is no concern to us but the guild which you care to enter is a different story". "these vampires are pure blood and conceal their glowing eyes so you may be followed and never know it". Vladimiras has been their leader for 200yrs, ever since he drained the last leader his father and gained his strength. Sunlight is the only thing that can kill Vladimiras now so you must find a way to get him into the sunlight by dawn.

*Calliope was startled that Ahnif had come upon her* "I mean not to be nosy, surely if there is danger, I need be aware!" She cant believe Ahnif is being so kind, considering she is an evil person. The hobbit hangs on to Ahnif with out question. Maybe Calliope can be of some help to the humans considering she is so small and lightfooted. She thinks to herself outloud rattling..."I hope my mouth doesnt get the best of me or the humans"

Ahnif tells the humans why the slave woman is so important to the vampires. "Vladimiras had no intention of draining her, she is much too valuable. being the demon's slave she knows all his secrets and weaknesses, he was one of the higher demons that the vampires and dark elves fought against but were defeated and driven out of Underdark. Vladimiras wanted to make her a vampire and if she suceeded in helping them to gain Underdark back he would make her his wife to rule Underdark by his side. the dark elf Idara is trying to help Vladimiras in return for his help in finding her high elf father that killed her mother when he found out she was a dark elf. her father left Idara who was just a baby in the woods after marking her with the betrayer tattoo because her mother swore she would grow up and avenge her death with his blood. that is why Idara is so easily enraged, because her heart is like stone.

Bashir, Jaicomo, and the hobbit Colliopi decide they have no choice but to try to save the girls life and find Vladimiras and kill him. They head out to try to find the vampire guild to see if they can draw Vladimiras out into the sunlight. As inconspicuous as they try to be they are never able to lose the three Griffons that circle above them. Shortly before the three adventurers get to the Vampires guild the three griffons swoop down and pick them up with there massive claws...

*Calliope squeals, "Bashir, Jaicomo...where could they be taking us" She hangs from the claws of the Griffon and realizes that she can, because of her size, slide out of their claws and slips and falls down in tall trees that break the terrible fall..

She wakes and finds herself alone.. Thinking to herself...she must find Ahnif and tell of Bashir and Jaicomos plight.

She begins to wander aimlessly through the forest not knowing how far she was taken and where she might be. She starts to mutter to herself, "I must keep moving, cant stop, friends are in trouble". She stops at a bush and grabs the luscious blueberries to hold in her pouch. The few that drop on the ground she puts in her mouth as the juices drip from her lips. Still mumbling to herself, she continues on untill she notices the tree where she was caught by Ahnif, but sees no one. Even the eyes in the trees are gone.

Calliope screeches in terror as a dark wolf suddenly appears in her path, fangs bared. She turns to rund but is blocked by two grey wolves behind her. Just as she prepares herself to run anyway, she's restrained by a hand on her shoulder.
"Since when do hobbits fall from the sky and wander my woods at this late hour? And stop looking at her like that Nyx, you don't even like hobbit."
Whirling around, Calliope sees a tall figure next to the wolf.
"Who are you?" she inquires, voice quivering.
Musical laughter fills the air the the figure throws back her head in response.
"Typical hobbit, the first thing out of your mouth is a question. I'm Maraurea to those who care to know me and this fine fellow next to me is Nyx. Behind you are Acies and Acer. These woods are our home and you've caused quite a stir with your antics. What is going on?"

"I, I, I, tell you that Griffons came upon two friends and myself and pulled us up in the air with their claws" still shaking she replied, "I, being so small, was able to release myself but I have no knowledge of my friends peril". "You say your woods, Where might that be?"

"What a fine looking pack of wolves that follow you." Her voice now calm, "We were about to check a cave for dwellers of the night, I need to find Idara, she is the only one that can help"

She thanks the mysterious person with her traveling companions. " I must take my leave and look for Idara."

*There is no telling what has happened and the day is growing short*

*Calliope begins her search again, waving to the stranger and her obedient creature friends*

Bashir and Jaicomo are carried by the griffon to the hills of Tantor. there the griffon push them into a cave and block the entrance with rock and boulders and do as Vladimiras has instructed them and stand guard bickering all the time about how the little hobbit got away.

Jaicomo speaks "Bashir how are we ever going to get out of this and how are we going to be able to save the woman now that we are so far away."

Bashir understands the problem he sits down on a large rock where he can think about everything that has happened and what they can do to get out of this dreadful situation. Jaicomo who is pacing around the pitch black cave picks up a stone in frustration and throws it into the darkness. For what seems like a eternity you hear nothing and then finally the sound of the stone hitting more rock and just bouncing and bouncing and bouncing until it slowly fades.

With no other choice Bashir and jaicomo walk in the direction that the stone was thrown.
