Moment
A day that used to start so early, Thrilling every moment. Just the very smallest happy's, Moved and told me so much. I tried to remember everything, Whether we were apart. Especially together, when, My special day would start. We joked about our breakfast, Served, trayed and on the bed. Spilled, the milk, the coffee cup, Tipped and soaked the bread. The gifts were special, handmade, From their class in school. With Dad, they'd shop the thrift store, They loved that,it was cool. While growing up their tender hearts, Reminders I would bade. Celebrate together, Make every, mothers, day. You never know when presence, Will take us far away, Distance from each other. Never let it stay. This day, a mother's moment, In physical, midst cloud. And in the quiet of my heart, Together and so proud. Raine Les 5/7/2008 |
