i was just wondering how did you know your kids were ready to walk?

Yep..... mine was 17 months old. Kids walk when they want to, and the leg muscles are strong enough to hold the weight. DO not use jumpies and those thingys on wheels or bouncies. They are not good at all for walking or muscle development. Ask your pediatrician.

when they stand by themselves...then steps follow not too shortly afterwards...it's the most cutiest moment ever

My great nephew is starting to pull himself up to stand and he is only 7mos old wont be much longer now.

My oldest daughter was 9months old when she pulled herself up on the side of the couch and took a couple baby steps toward me.. of course she was already pulling herself up.. but I remember clearly that moment (sweetest ever). My youngest daughter started walking at about 1.5 yrs. old.. she too did the same thing

they will outgrow that scared fase and just take off... it happens pretty quickly. What a mile stone to accomplish

the average age is right about when the child turns 1 Actually, nowadays for whatever the reason, children are learning to walk later.. the average age for children to begin walking is between 18 months and 2 yrs.. also, there is nothing that a parent can do to prepare and/or teach their children to walk.. they just do it as it comes to them. |
