Adam lived.
Adam saw his son, Abel, murdered and his life snuffed out prematurely.
Adam lived many centuries.
It is recorded that man lived for hundreds of years.

When Adam died, I can expect that his children grieved horribly.
They most likely freaked out.

Would this be a sufficient cause to have a preoccupatiuon with death, when now it could be possible to witness that death finally does occur naturally?

Was this rightly viewed as the consequence of sin?

Was this the beginning od a dysfunctional preoccupation with death and sin ?

Or was it the beginning of immutablbe truths that sin leads to death?

What historical example was present to give them all any imperical evidence to the contrary?

Was it appropriate then to be obsessed with death?

What then were the implications of sin?

How could sin be stopped, if sin were the root cause of such a numbing preoccupation?

Was it compassion and sympathy that was sought to soothe or excuse such trepidations?

Has history given us the answer or just more conjecture?

Can we all just reflect on the fear of the unknown and not wonder about that?

Is this the heart of the matter in man's longing to overcome death and the grave?

Is this not the first of many lessons that bring us to raise our children well with care and love?

it seems to be that if hope were lost, it was lost when Adam died.

Life and man are not so inflexible.

Man is resilient.

Intolerance and insensitivity are callous reminders that life is precious to some and not to others.

Pragmatism would have ended procreation had wisdom been employed to pragmatic reasoning.

Today, observations of sin and death ignore sympathy and grief that was all too real to our ancestors and progenitors.

Are we showing our disrespect when we rationalize the triviality that brought about the culmination of God's sympathy and compassion for us, His creation?

Define smug.

I am 52 years old.

This thought came to me this morning.

i receive it as a gift.

I am sharing it just as plain as it was given me.

i have never heard this before.

I have been a Christian for 21 years and never before seen life and history and man from this perspective.

Smug means to be neatly dressed, to be nice. to spruce up.

In deed, i am clothing myself in this revelation.

I have much more cognizance of sympathy and compassion for having been able to articulate this point.

i cannot claim it of myself.

Just so you know.

As far as I am concerned, there is no right or wrong answer.

52 years, indeed.

What a slow learner I am to have not fully contemplated this consciously before.

learn, grow, and be at peace.

I have no idea, I just know that conservatives are not happy with the President. He's weak domestically, financially, border control doesn't seem to interest him at all and he is weak on terrorists. The one thing he has gotten right is Saddam. Turns out Saddam didn't have WMDs and no, the US cannot police the world, but at the time, all evidence pointed to Saddam having WMDs and the US couldn't take the chance of a nuke ending up in a terrorist's hands. The facts speak for themselves, even when the media and 90% of the population wants to revision history.

This doesn't mean he is not a conservative. It means that conservative ways of doing things lead to disaster. Learn a lesson.

The Bible puts certain things forward. We can believe them or not as we chose. I chose to.
