Topic: false happiness | |

Deeper into my drink,
I begin to sink. Now I don’t have to think Of the situation I am in As my world begins to spin I know it is insane. And I’m only masking the pain But it is gone for a while And the only time that I smile Desperately trying to forget the past But the effects never seem to last. For I always wake up in the same state Feeling sick, with a pounding headache. It was only a temporary relief For a life filled with grief. Things will look up they say But it doesn’t seem to be today But false happiness is near. And so i grab one more beer |
