Driving is a right in the state, not a privilege so they just give a license to anyone that asks.

As a born n' raised Washingtonian I can tell you drivers in Washington used to be polite and let people in, yeilded to the other vehicles, etc, etc, etc. Thus, I can only come to the conclusion that the bad drivers moved to Washington with their bad habbits they learned elsewhere! ;-)

quite funny, but reality doesn't seem to support that theory.

Its not the Washington drivers fault its the Idahoans And the damn Californians that moved up here Yup -- lived in Spokane for 4-1/2 years, was warned people over there ran red lights, to never pull out on a green light until I was sure the people were going to stop for the red, saw many, many people run the red lights. Around here they are pretty curtious, but I have also never seen so many elderly drivers in one small town as I have here either, YIKES!!! |

i just push the gas pedal down and somehow i get where i want to go ha! not surprised. no offense, but there's often a giant lack of forethought shown by most drivers. waiting until the last second to go from the left lane all the way to the right for their exit and such. always expecting people to get out of their way instead of planning ahead and knowing that they might not be able to get over. also, i get all kinds of dirty looks and often nearly hit when i come to a complete stop at lights/signs. the "if you're in the intersection when it turns red you're ok" rule is followed to a T out here. i'm not use to that either. yellow means slow down and i shall i can go on...and on...and on, but i shall take a break |
