Once too many times, how does one react? Does one shrivel up,and die, does one take a break and give themsleves enough time to heal, and recover,or does one wish the other ripper either bad luck or a slow, painful death.or does one turn the other cheek and say"oh well, there are other fishes in the world besides that one!"
The hardest part is relying on 11 yrs of what once was a beautiful friendship which could of lead to either marriage,or common law marriage,or a possible sudden breakup of that 11 yr friendship, which was the latter, unfortunately!
It is taking me a long, hard time to heal and recover because the older one gets, the more cautious they become, because some day the heart can only take so much ripping, before it is too old to recover and mend, and one could die a painful death due to heart failure, contributed to a (*****),who I gave my all to,just to have everything yanked from under me for no particular reason! I was stunned, was bitter, changed to pure anger, wishing her all the worst luck anyone could ever have, and or wishing her a slow, painful death,or demise and hope am around to watch her slowly die!
Is this a fair way to think? Maybe so,maybe not,but at my age,the other fishes in the world are getting farther and farther inbetween discovery.Getting harder to find because of my age and soforth.
Maybe my bitterness will disappear someday?Maybe not? What do you think? Being the reader, what is your opinion?

Thanks for reading,

Thanks for the hug and the advice! I can never give up because the yearning is too strong and outweighs the disadvantages of giving up!
Someday,somewhere,somehow,I truly hope?

My stepfathers advice given to me during my seperation with the Ex...

"The best way to get over someone. Is to get on top of someone else."

Then he followed up by saying...

"Having someone new in your life is not going to heal your wounds. But it does make a good bandaid."

LOL, that was his advice.

Now for my advice:

It's okay to have those feelings of anger and sadness. It's when we decide to live with those feelings and not let go is when we only end up hurting ourselves. Know that whatever happened is not your fault. Just think that as hard as it might be to comprehend right now, that there is someone else in this world just for you. Then one day you will be able to pick yourself up and dust yourself off. But until then, do take the time to mourn over your loss, just don't dwell on it the point where you are living in constant pain and sorrow. Everyone needs a grieving period. It not only benefits you to do this but it will also help in your next relationship because you will be less likely to be on, the rebound. Taking my stepfathers
advice sounds numbing, but it just not very sound advice overall, IMO.

Very much appreciate your advice! Yes I do need time to mourn, and to heal.
We shared very intimate times together, even though we were 24 yrs apart in age,and I had problems preforming which made me feel worse because I couldnt please her and must admit she was v ery patient with me.
I will heal, but it will take a long time, and I will take whatever time it takes to recover and start over

Thank again!
