coffee dates are the best, they don't tie you up all day, or they could lead to dinner. They are perfect....

All kidding aside... "Coffee dates" are a wonderful chance to keep it simple, relaxed, and enjoy the details. See, it's easy to talk on here, blah blah, e-mail, IM, etc. But a coffee date allows you to CONVERSE. Share a laugh face-to-face, look in each other's eyes, etc. They're like having tiramsu for breakfast: Quick, sweet, and really no drawbacks. (=

I like the coffee dates. Meet & greet, see if there's more or not. Easy access to the exit!!!!!!!!! lol Easy escape indeed! Nothing worse than being stuck through dinner with someone who can't keep their eyes above the bustline.

We met at Starbucks, a neutral place, each got a cup of coffee, sat down in the big cushy chairs they had, and chatted until they closed. Wasn't meant to be a cheap date but it did make it easy for either one to call it up short vs a long, uncomfortable dinner date. The next date was dinner, drinks...etc. My preference is a neutral place, easy to get to for both for a face-to-face. Sorry if it wasn't the tawdry thing everyone expects.
