Unsatisfied...
Restless, anxious
Pacing back and forth
Flitting from thing to thing
Thought to thought
Just a wee bit scattered
Sitting, standing
Writing, singing,painting
Starting all over again
Chewing the pen
While the cigar burns away
In the over flowing ashtray
Getting up going to the barn
Work on the sculpture, welding the bits here
Welding the bits there
Unsatisfied, tearing it all apart
Slowly walking back into the house
Sit and paint again
Soft hues, gentle blues
Unsatisfied, tossing canvas into trash
Picking up the guitar, plucking the strings
Begin to sing, voice cracks with weariness
Unsatisfied, tossing guitar to the side
Sitting again, at the desk, begin to write
Words come in stutters, thoughts all jumbled and scattered
Unsatisfied, crumpling up the paper, shredding every little bit
Walking out side, note book in hand, crumpled shredded paper in other hand
Dumping it all in the fire pit, flick of the lighter, setting it all a flame
Unsatisfied..
