How can there be love when the eyes are there to see
All superficial things before it and behind and from right and left What one loves today will not be there to love the next If what is seen pleases not the eyes then that which was in the heart will surely melt away How can you call it love when seeing it physically can diminish For true love can only be when there are no eyes to see Words touch you deeply as they sit within your heart loving words in exchange to make them feel close tho physically apart Then comes the moment of rejoice when the span of space comes to a close Will the eyes also love what the heart has so dearly, yet only time knows Why do I have these eyes for they greed that which it sees yet not the good within Bringing upon the heart just lust, desires and eventually the acts leading to great sin If only I had not these eyes then perhaps true love would fall upon me Perhaps I may grow old with the one I adore, growing old together like the leaves upon a tree For True love can only be when there are no eyes to contradict that which the heart has loved and longs to see |
