I've read several articles regarding the man in Austria that kept his
own daughter a prisoner in a cellar for 24 years, used her as a sex toy,
and fathered 7 children on her.

She is 42 now. So she was 18 when it he drugged her and she ended up
in the cellar. He had bathroom, cooking area, and sleeping area and
padded cell set up and a reinforced door with a numeric lock hidden
behind shelves.

Everyone wants to know how no one suspected anything.

What I want to know is how long it took to set up the environment, and
how long he was planning to do this to his daughter. Did he start his
plans when she was 17, 16, 15? How long would it take to set up the
area, little by little.

It creeps me out.

Oh, I found another article today that said he started building that cellar in 1979. When she was 13. Was he planning for her, or whom else?

of course he was planning, monsters are usally really in depth. He knew what he was doing, it was his own little controlled world. I dunno why he would have done that to his daughter, he could have as easily kidnapped a stranger, ahh but the daughter would visit, yeah he's creepy.

I try but I can't comprehend what kind of sick person could do such a thing. "Sick" just doesn't seem to correctly describe him. I don't think there is a word that could.

Something else that bothers me is they are talking about him getting 15 years for raping his daughter. He imprisoned her for 24 years. He shouldn't get less time in prison than the amount of time he forcibly imprisoned her.

For anyone who hasn't heard about it. One child died and he burned the body. Three he selected and forced her to write a letter to her mom saying she couldn't care for them. He brought those up to the house for him and his wife to raise. He picked based on which infants were cry babies.

He covered his tracks so well that his wife thought her daughter ran off and joined a cult. She never knew just how close her missing daughter was. Authorities are pretty convinced she was completely clueless.

They plan to go after murder by neglect on the child that died. That would give a much longer sentence.

I've been reading Reuters when things get slow at work. It started out tracking the mortgage situation and economics. I'm tracking this now too. The oldest child, a 19 yr old girl became very very ill. I don't know if he put her outside and for someone to find. But she ended up at a hospital and a plea went out on the news for the mother to come forward. The father realized he was in a tough spot and brought out his daughter and the two remaining kids. He told his wife that she decided to return home. When she got to the hospital, she was able to tell someone what had happened to her for the last 24 years. She was finally in a safe place.

I feel so bad for them.

The whole thing made me sick..I can't believe a father would do something like that to his own daughter... They need to put him in prison and throw away the key for what he's done..that's just terrible..
