He waits in earnest
So longing to see All of His children As they they were designed to be The fires are coming We know not when He's waiting to take us All home again He is not tardy Never late or slow He's just waiting for us To be right and grow He is patient and kind He hears us repent Seeing us wait on Him He is quite content Seeing us suffer Causes Him pain Both Heaven and Earth He does reign Watching and waiting How He must weep Mind what you sow For that's what you'll reap He has promised New Heaven's and Earth This time will we know It's true worth In this time Be honest and kind Do not forsake Him And be left behind So just wait Be right and true The Lord our God Is waiting too I've been doing a lot of soul searching lately and a lot of asking the same old "Why's" and "Why not's" and these questions always bring me back to my Bible for answers. We all want that "ONE" love that we are made for and we all seem to want it sooner than later. This poem is my interpretation of His answer to the question of "Why must I wait?" This is adapted from II Peter 3:9-14 |
