Several years ago, I was at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto. One
of the pictures on display had drawn quite a crowd of apparently
fascinated on-lookers. The picture was 3 naked black men sitting on a
bench, BUT, the one in the middle had a white penis.
One of the on-lookers had "interpereted" the picture saying it
represented the ostracization of gay people. The curator assured us that
it actually represented how the gov't and society is trying to force
African Americans to be more "white".
I couldn't take much more of this pompous BS from people that OBVIOUSLY
have no clue about art.
I finally spoke up and said, "Excuse me but, I KNOW the photographer and
THAT, my friends, is a picture of three Cape Breton coal miners and the
one in the middle went home for lunch".
