They write themselves short,
They just don't believe, God has a plan, He'll fill the need. They write themselves short As they sit in a wheelchair, They can't imagine anyone's love, Because they are ill when push comes to shove. Who's gonna love someone they cry, I can't even walk, I'm sick I can't try, Who's gonna accept this disability? True love can set these people free. Because they're people With needs like you and me. Fully abled to feel and yearn, To ponder when the fire of true love will burn. ********************************************************** I have a son with Down syndrome who I know has feelings like all of us. He will want to one day be loved as a grown man like anyone else. For now, I get to hug him and kiss him until that day arrives. Recently I came into contact with someone on here who has a disability and stated he didn't believe a woman wants a man with a disability. Well, those who know me KNOW I don't think like that. So this is for everyone and anyone with any kind of disability... I hope you find the love you seek. I think the greatest disability any of us can have is negative thinking. For those suffering with illness or a disability, believe LOVE can happen to ANYONE no matter what your circumstance. It begins with the love of self. Just my two cents. |

Queene... thank you for sharing your life today. I certainly know how hard it can be to have a sick child. My son had heart repair last August, and he has iris and retina coloboma in his right eye. My prayers are with you and your family Queene!
It's amazing how someone else can open up your eyes and remind you of what's really important in this world. I have my own illness to contend with as well. It's been a real big thing and certainly has held me back at times even stolen my self esteem at other times. I don't normally share this with everyone but after reading an email from someone I think is VERY special, well it opened my eyes to my own scarlet letter so to speak. My main disability has been my own thinking and it has been because of my illness. |

There's always going to be SOME who cannot see,the beauty of me.
Some will stare and some will swear, but ask me if I really care I am me, with all you see, and I am BLESSED to always be. So take your bad thoughts. Stop staring, like DAH, I can't see. If you really want to see me, then take the time to talk to ME. You will be AMAZED if you could only trully see all of ME. LOVE HAS NO EYES! |

You've appealed to the masses with words of love and reached into the deepest part of humanity by asking for acceptance. I love this. |

So good to see that voiced! I've worked with a lot of elderly, and for hospice. Inside, there is no age. It is so true that no matter the age or condition, everyone needs love, and how sad to still have needs that may never be met! At least in THIS world!
