Saturday's Weekend Journal had an editorial explaining that an "opinion researcher" has found that gunowners, regardless of political party, education, or income are happier than nongun owners. We all knew this already, but the Wall Street J is known to be less than supportive of the 2nd amen. This editorial was printed in response to Obamas comment on frustrated gun owners in small towns. The researcher offered that maybe gunowners felt safer and more in control of their surroundings........

as a gun owner, please try to break into my house, as Clint would say " make my day". Hell yes were happier, we feel safer. when guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns

....that's one of the things I like about the TV series "Jericho"...it shows that in times of catastrophic situations or personal peril they still have a old west charm about them for uses in deterrents to "would be" law breaker out law types...we all have a need to protect what is ours and to protect a quality of life...  ~w~

As a previous gun owner....I don't feel any less happy now that I do not own a gun. I can't tell you how many times I had thoughts of shooting this or that just because I could. Make me mad and I immediately thought od my guns.
As a previous boyfriend can tell you; I had to throw my last pistol in the Chikaskia River to keep from shooting his ass. So...I just hit him with my car (it was just a 3 thousand pound bullet). 
Nope....I actually feel better, now that I do not have one. Kat |

Yeah, well...it was due to the fact that they were too easy to get my hands on.
Yes, I still own a car...but I am much wiser now. I live alone?  Plus, I am not so easily made angry. Unless I get hit again.

Some people believe that pet owners are happier than people without pets. However, I can find articles on both sides of the fence.
