I am trying (not so good) to quit the habit. I have bought the patches and wear them every other day, but I still smoke! Is there anyone out there that can give me some advice!!

Gum.. and lots of it.. i personally would not have quit on my own... but yeah LOTS and LOTS of gum and an unusual ammount of teeth brushing.. chewing on straws helps too just to do something like the habit...
and yeah the patch kinda MAKES me want to smoke.. i don't know why but yeah i tried the patch for a bit andit did NOT work.. AT ALL!!! >.> |

I cannot chew gum, so that is out!! I'll try the straw thing!!! This has only been going on for a few weeks, but I just can not afford to smoke any more!!

chantix...get a prescription from your doctor - it's a bit pricey, but considering the price of smokes these days. it works great i hear. good luck!!

Smoking is a habit, so break every other habit associated with it. Drink coffee at breakfast table with a smoke? Try tea on the deck. Smoke while on the phone with friend? Grab the dust cloth and clean while gabbing...just break those chains...im smoke free for 14 months now and cant believe i ever had that vile nasty habit for 20 YEARS..Walking and listening to relaxation cds helped me more than anything..God Bless, and hang on...it gets so much better!
