So, this one time in High School, one of the school bullys shows up with a pretty good ape mask, (Planet of the Apes was in theaters and doing good) and he put it on and started acting like an enraged Chimp. I'm outside having a smoke, he spies me and ape-walks over, then grabs me and slams me into the brick wall. I look him in the eye and say, "Hi Mark, (I know him from Shop class) I like your mask but not your act."
He lets me go and starts chasing some even younger kids around the school yard. The next year, his buddies decided to try picking on me, cause I was the only one who wasn't afraid to use "their" door to go outside. I was just about to start fighting (I had been taking Karate for about 2 years at that time), when he looks at my face for a second or two, turns to his buddies and says, "Leave this small fry alone, you guys. I might need him to do my homework this week".
I wonder to this day why he did that.
