that is helpful. and i was figurin fish as bait. where is the best place to shark fish at?? Well, any of the worlds oceans is probably the best. But seriously... If you wanna fish for blue shark, you're gonna have to head offshore a good 50-100 miles in deep, open, temperate and tropical ocean and start there. Blue sharks are a pelagic species, very rarely found close to shore, and then usually passing between migratory channels around open ocean islands (think Hawaii). |

I've caught hundreds of different sharks. I used to work in Florida with sharks, worked on two different projects involving lemon sharks and whale sharks, respectively.
I'm very big on shark conservation and not a huge fan of sportfishing just to mount it on a wall (however I realize in some cases that's a given and, ultimately, necessary.) There's hundreds (if not thousands) of charter fishing companies in Mexico that will, for a fee, take you out in the Gulf of Mexico or the Pacific Ocean and hook you into a shark. I wouldn't recommend attaching a line TO a boat, directly, but yeah, using a boat helps in catching any kind of fish. If you're truly interested in taking a trip and doing something like this, I'd recommend "Mark The Shark". He's got the best operation in Florida, and is well-known as not just a shark killer, but a class guy with a class operation. http://www.marktheshark.com/index2.html |

hmm very interesting.. i am rly just trying to figure the deep sea fishing thing out. not this summer, but maybe nxt i will have to take a trip... i just want to catch one..
