I can not escape childhood memories
For they haunt me till the end,
But pain and hurt,I'll not forget
Through compassion we'll make amends.

Perhaps through consumption of alcohol
You had nourished your inner rage,
Myself and my sisters paid a dear price
We're just your burdens to be caged.

We've got scars and mends to show you
Yet you shake you're head and deny,
We're asking just for acknowledgment
To lend closure for our Why's.

We've all decided to forgive you
