i am a nurse also, however i never answer my telepone on a date unless it is one of my children, since they live 2 plus hours away i like to make sure it is not an emergency.
i have worked as a manager and was on call for all emergencies regarding my units 24/7-- that is why i quit after 2 years. |

I am the laboratory manager of a large medical center. This means I can get calls at any time of day or night. Fortunately I have a dependable charge staff in place to handle problems so if I DO get a call, it is an urgent issue.
If I am on a date I only answer for my kids, mom or work.. none of which call me very often. |

You said "I can't do this"....You know what you know about yourself. It's not a matter of whether you were right or wrong. Always go with your gut instincts. You did what felt true to your inner experience. She did not appear to be the woman for you, and so you ended the date. Do not feel guilty because you paid attention to your needs.

Well, that's exactly what you did...you paid attention to your needs. Good for you! It's always good to take care of your heart It wasn't so much the rudeness that got to me. It was the idea of wanting to put your best foot forward when you first meet someone. If she was that inattentive on the FIRST DATE, what would things look like six months down the road? |

<--- Taking notes. Note to self. (Turn cell phone off when on date!) She got what she deserved. Her date was with you. She should have left her phone off or cut short calls from whoever was bugging her and tell them not to call her back. She was rude and/or just stupid. |

Once I had an appointment with someone in their office. While I was there, he answered about four phone calls, saying "excuse me" each time. I waited.
About the fifth call, I asked him if I should go find a telephone and just call him, because it looked like his calls were getting priority over his personal appointments. |
