So I hung out at the pool on Saturday with this guy I had met once about six months ago (not through JSH). Everything he did and said repulsed me! He had gained about 60 lb since the last time I saw him, and had gross white and stretch mark skin. His feet were really fat with some kind of rash, and his toenails were thick and yellow. He kept talking about how he had Asperger's syndrome (a form of autism) and then he would say things like, "that's one of the signs of 'AS'" or "AS manifests itself in such and such ways." He was drinking wine like there was no tomorrow, apparently because he was nervous due to his 'AS.' Seriously, I think the whole time we were out there (about an hour and a half), he drank almost 2/3 of a BIG bottle of wine.

I couldn't get away fast enough.

Shallow means, to me... the superficial stuff only. It sounds like you are taking in the complete picture here. You just did not like what you saw, heard, or observed. Nothing wrong with that!

That was mean too think awful of him. He couldnt help it. It was probably his medicine he has to take for it maybe too make him gain or whatever. Wouldnt it make you feel bad if you had gained some weight and nobody would want to talk to you?

some medication can cause all sorts, but the drinking does appear to be in the extreme, i wouldnt like someone around me who drank that much.

I used too be really over weight when I was in school. And I hate seeing people so over weight makes me want too cry because I feel sorry for them. But would not be mean too them though

So if he annoyed you and if all you can do is complain, why did you stick around so long? Some meds do make you gain weight, so I do find that a little rude about how you went into detail about the weight gain.
I would like to know what his thoughts were about you!! Maybe he thought you were a little snobby and stuck up? I am sure that you made him nervous because obviously he knew you didn't like him. I hope you atleast treated him with respect?
