attack government overspending, work on a realistic/viable plan on pulling troops out of iraq while establishing their government so our mission can be a success (not saying there isn't plan already, and no i will not tie the hands of any soldiers on the ground), actually invest money in alternative sources of energy instead of investing in dead end projects that end up getting destroyed when progress is made, begin to eliminate departments that screw everything up, attack government overspending like crazy, revamp the tax code (there is ABSOLUTELY no need of have a 48,000 page tax code), make a law that states that you need at least one parent who is already an American citizen in order to become a citizen at birth, then go after corperations who are hiring illegals, as well as get rid of any government benefits illegas can recieve, get rid of NAFTA and many other overseas trading acts, make it harder for companies to outsource, giver more power back to the states, and oh yeah, this is my favorite part... for every one law that is past, two need to be taken out of legislation. Wow, guess i'd be pretty busy. Although none of this would pass since congress wouldn't approve.

this is a complicated question, as there would not be one specific thing I did first; it would be a series of actions towards the first result.

1: fully close all borders to all passing. If you want to leave the country fine, but you are not getting back in. As far as for trade? Vehicles are traded and signed for at the border, so that no one but the border control crosses over. Youw ould have a neutral zone so to speak for this to happen.

2. All military that was not essentially needed over seas, would be brought home to the usa. As far as Iraq goes, I would consolidate all the reserve and guard unbits over there into two or three Garrisons, instead of camps (permenant duty in other words). i woudl then demobilize every last one of those guard and reservist who was over there, and activate them (which is fully legal), which means they are no longer in the guard or reserve, they are in the regular army. Ths would be a temporary assignment.

3. all recruits immediately upon graduation of advanced training in military, would go immediately over to Iraq, and replace, one for one, every last soldier that I activated from the reserves and guard, and the replaced soldiers would come home. within six months to a year, we would have every part time soldier home again, and an active BASE in Iraq, as we do in Germany and Korea. Iraq weould then be treated the same way Korea is, as a dangerous assignment, thus family members could not live there with the soldiers, and assignment would last no more than one year (just like in Korea).

4. Once Iraq was taken care of in this way, I would start putting full military force in afghanistan and wherever else needed to route out bin laden and bring him in, no matter how long it took. As far as countries that sit the fence about who they side with... If they appear to be assisting terrorists, etc. then they get boycotted and blockaded until they stop aiding terrorists.

5. while all this is going on, there would be a mandatory census in the usa immediately, and all illegal aliens would be found. They would then have a choice: Immediate deportation (within 24 hours). OR they subject them selves to as stringent an investigation as possible, to ascertain wether they are linked with terrorist cells. If they are found innocent, imediate citizenship is granted (does not mean tem get moeny to help get settled or anythjing), with full amnesty for being an illegal prior. If they are found to be linked with terrorism, tehy are imprisoned and tried for war crimes.

There is a lot of other changes I would make as well, to include revamping the entire military, and civil service jobs. Civil service jobs would no lo nger be available to the private citizen as a rule, it would be done by the reserve and gaurd (this would include all security outside of private businesses).

After all this is done, I would start working at opening the borders again, and reinstate laws on immigration.

This is just a general idea, but you get where I am going with it all, and it is a place where everyone is free and safe, and there is less of a problem with illegal immigration, thus less terroriist cells in the USA.

After bringing home all the soldiers that want to return at this very moment, close all the borders and all out of country flights. Focus on the USA.Cancel any goverment program that is not deemed useful for the larger portion of the population. Give out condoms with a reduced food stamp program. If one is too weak to procreate then less population.All illegals will be sent back into their own country unless they can prove that they can substain themselves in our society with money and skills for a period of 18 months. Place a reward on binladens head with his own people, screw "integrity", where has it gotten us except alot of dead countrymen and women? Put the unemployed to work picking up trash and house the homeless in all the repossessd real estate.
