Should PI be sued?
PI is both an irrational number AND a transcendental number - Therefore, somewhere in its infinite digits, all possible combinations of all numbers possible exist. Given this, the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), is contemplating legal action against PI. It maintains that given its irrational and transcendental properties, the digital encoding of all songs ever recorded, and indeed that will EVER be recorded, exist somewhere within PI. However, attorneys for PI maintain that PI's nature is innate and immutable, and actually existed long before any songs were ever digitally converted or, indeed, even existed. Therefore, PI's attorneys are contemplating a counter suite against RIAA. What do YOU think? - I, the Groovy Ninja, believe that PI Existed before the digital conversion of songs, but not necessarily music itself. I believe they came into existence simultaneously. It should also be noted that 4 Billion digits of PI have been calculated, and no song digitization exists as of yet. However, I agree that it must exist - the question is where. If none have been found in 4 billion digits, then any song location would have a digit address longer than the song itself, rendering it impractical |

As all digital recording IS contained within PI, does that not say that PI is the quintessential master of digital media therefore giving ownership of such media to PI?
As such all proceeds developed via the media should belong to PI. Whereas with out PI as the basis for complex mathematical computation all addition expansion of digital media would be void, giving the Lawyers for PI exclusive right to future royalties. |

I absolutely agree, Tim! In fact, CD's and Records are round - surely RIAA owes them a check for that!
