The Gift Of Spirits

Her soft delicate fingertips
Trace his handsome face,
As her eyes gaze into his
As she slowly takes pace.

She glides her fingers slowly
Down his muscular arms,
Where she leans in for a kiss
Feelings of no alarm.

She feels his warmth dwelling inside
In that lingering kiss,
Abandonment goes out the window
The love that is amidst.

Making love all night long
Till the early morning hours,
When she wakes, to an empty bed
She sees he left her flowers.

A note on the pillow was left
Noting: Thanks for a wonderful night,
Now, come downstairs for breakfast
And see a wondrous delight.

She rushed down the stairs
To the kitchen in a hurry,
And draped across her chair
Was something soft and furry.

No, it wasn't a mink stole
But a blanket of two spirits,
A wolf and hawk adorn it
Surprised as she gets near it.

A bond of our spiritual love
As we cover up at night,
Our love will live forever
When we wake in the early morning light.

A love between the two of them
As they only understand,
A love that was meant to be
Between a woman and a man.
