For those of you who read/ responded to the thread last night I did, update: He did not show up today, not a call-text-NOTHING!!! We had a great time, and she really had a great time at her party, but then tonight, well lets just say we got home about 30 mins. ago from the emergency room, and Mashona has a broke arm. Long story, but makes for a HORRIBLE night. Kids are asleep now, and I thought that maybe I could get on JSH and be cheered up by you great people.

About that he did not show up? NO, I was not, but I guess that deep down in my heart I was hoping that he would for her emotional well being, she was so excited that he said he was coming. Wednesday night at church she even told some people-my aunt for one- that her dad was coming to her party. She said she is ok with him not coming, that she had the best party ever, but I know that has to bother her. I just told her when we were riding in the truck today that if she ever wanted to talk about it, or anything, I AM ALWAYS here for her.

I understand where you're at. I have a 13 & 16 yo, and their mother walked out and went to Texas (we live in NC). My son is working through it, but my daughter (13) is having a harder time coping.

Til' the day I die-hopefully no time soon- I will never understand how a person can turn their back on their child (by choice of their own-don't get it twisted)... I will not ever be able to grasp that concept, and I have absolutely no respect for people who have done so... I strongly feel that those people will have to answer to a higher power one day, so their time is coming, eventually.
