if I eat cereal with a fork to save on milk?

Please list a money saving measure you take.

As for me I take note of sales more than I used to.

nahhhhhhhhhh....you ain't cheap......you just go back for more cereal, cuzz the milk is still there...........

I buy walmart or wegman's brand things. cuz they normally are cheaper than kraft and name brand stuff

no cheap, is when you eat it with a fork then pour the un used milk back in the carton. lol

When cooking, don't use more of an ingredient than nessisary. You may need what little is left for next time.

I try to eat out only once a week, and then I usually go to Jack in the Box and spend $3.

I buy off-brand grocery stuff (like Brenda mentioned). I also pay attention to which store has the stuff I need at a cheaper price (they're all close together so it's not like I'm wasting gas to save 75 cents). For anyone here in AZ, CVS has the cheapest beer.

I watch them more too. In fact I'm going to a Friday only sale at a local grocery store today. I shop in at least 3 different stores, because I know who has what cheaper. I use a lot of store brand stuff, instead of name brands. And I always check the sale ads before going in.
There are very few things I will not use the store brands.
But mac&cheese, I'll only use Kraft, tomato soup, I'll only eat Cambell's, but I will cook with the off brands.
So yes, when it comes to what I buy, I am cheap too.

Yup, Save-A-Lot is one of mine too. Aldi's and Wal-Mart are my other favs. Aldi's is another box store, or bag your own stuff.
But Aldi's you have to buy your own bags or bring some with you. I snag the bags from Save-A-Lot, and use them at Aldi's. LOL

I turn my undies inside out! That way I can wear'em for 2 days instead of 1! Saves on electricity & water bills!: laugh: Seriously kidding!

im the same way. store brands are usually the best way to go, even using coupons, i saved one yr $75 by using coupons for that month. and i always take my calulator with me so i dont go over my limit i want to spend

I try to chew my grilled filet mignon slowly to get my moneys worth.

I'm working on a waterwheel to power a generator so I can tell the electric company to stuff it.Taking out my natural gas fireplace and installing a woodburning fireplace.I've been doing it on the cheap for so long that theres no place else to go except for doing it myself!

I will use a coupon if I find one for something I use, but they usually don't have them for the store brands. So I don't get to use too many of them.
At Wal-Mart though, if you watch in the meat dept. they will mark meats down to sell them faster. Rather then throw them away, and if you freeze them or use them right away, they are fine. That's how I buy most of my meats.

I'm with you on this. I can't imagine eating off-brand tomato soup. YUK!!

I'm amazed at how much money people will spend at the grocery store. They'll shell out probably $40 or $50 per visit more at a "higher end" store, instead of shopping at a regular grocery store with exactly the same products (and the store is right across the street).
