Topic: not wanting to be apart of any more | |
---|---|
to begin this fiasco i used to be sort of a big deal in the drum n bass scene in austin, i periodically go to the dnb night on tuesdays which was tonight. i was and am part of the crew that started it..
now, i go because i enjoy the music and some old skool friends that go out to it right...being recognized is apart of it i understand but, i personally just want to be another person in the crowd.... tonight i was approached by one of the dj's wifes and she wanted me to throw a party (rave) with them.. i got out of the scene along time ago cause i was tired of the drama and all that came with being a dj... i tried to tell her that i don't do these things any more and just come out to enjoy the music but she was not having any of it and wanted me to talk to her husband... i hung for a bit and tried to humor her but was just tired of the BS.....i don't want to be that guy any more....i am now back in the metal scene and am happy where i am at.... people like this get on my nerves and generally just piss me off..i was not rude to her in any way but i slipped out and left.... am i wrong for bouncing or? |

If I heard right(which I'm not sure I did cuz I saw a lot of blabbety blabbety and kinda glazed over it), then you getting tired of the bar scene is a good thing.
Of course when you do that, you lose a lot of "friends" but then you reeeeeeally see who your true friends are, instead of your 'good time buddies'. |

When people don't understand that no means no, sometimes you have to be harsh... Agreed. Sounds like you tried to clarify and she didn't want to accept your answer. What else could you do? |

Agree with above, sometimes people think because they ask for something they should get it, I guess I am just too rude for some, for I truly would have told the lady (even though I'd say it nicely) which word did you not understand, I DON'T DJ, NOT INTERESTED. You did the right thing, all the while maintaining class. kudos |
