When The Stars

When the stars cried,
In the middle of the night.
The rocks gave up their glory.
The sands became white.
In agonizing splendor,
Cascading from the rain,
They landed on the sea shore,
That once had seemed so plain.
The shards of glittered fragments,
Bore jewels facets, cold,
Gold and green blue glasses
Rubies, tears, I'm told.
T'was because of lovers,
Being pulled apart.
Pride had been their masters,
Distancing their heart.
In everything around us,
Beauty can be gleaned,
Yet, stars so high above us,
This travesty, will scream.
Now, the stars are fading,
The lovers are no more,
Their silent, distant rumble,
Closed heavens open door.
