Sitting in the stillness of the nite
Staring at the stars
Providing evening light
The sky so dark
In shades of grey
As my thoughts drift away
To a time when you were here
So close to me i hold you dear
All i know is what i've been told
Have no memories of you to hold
I feel your presence oh so strong
Every day as i walk along
I wonder if you're proud of me
And the woman i have become
The lord above took you away
Oh so very young
You are my guardian angel
My guiding light
You light my way
In the darkest of nights
Father dear i love you and miss you so.

This was a very personal poem for me to share. I never knew my dad he
passed away when i was 1, he was only 22. even though it's been 33
years, some days the pain and missing him and what never was is more
than i can bear. Thank you for your kind words

I am sorry to here you didn't know him. I really didn't get to know my
dad until I was 14, but the time we did spend together was precious. So
if you are out there and your Dad is still alive, spend as much time
with him as you can, You never know how quick they go, and how much you
miss them until they are gone.

I am sooo sorry to hear that.I pray that you find peace and solace
with this loss one day.You are a beautiful young lady with a very dear
heart. No finer words can be spoken than those out of the mouth of babes
as they would say.I love your poem so much and I hope that the words
spoken to you as you grew up by your Mom will remain as this beacon
directly from him.And this ray that casts from this beacon shall remain
well lite throughout all of your lifetime.God Bless SJ.Cybear.
