To Dream

Can you feel them in your heart,
The words I never speak?
My very lips fall silent,
There is much yet left to see.

Though we haven't found a rhythm,
The night still finds us close.
You and I together,
That's what I treasure most.

Weary thoughts break slumber,
Passed to echoes gone.
Wrap me up in love
And sing to me your song.

Can you feel the burn,
The embers of what may be?
My very heart stops beating
For what I can perceive.

Though I know you feel it
I wonder what it's like
Caring oh so deeply
Within your heart and mind.

Silence fills the air
As thoughts now turn to mist,
whispers fade to night
As dreams begin to twist.

Stir the night now easy
And carry us to dream
Lift us both now gently
Upon your angel wings.
