So I get a bit depressed sometimes, but I get over it sooner or later. But every once in a while I get an anxiety attack.

This morning I was driving the kids to school, was thinking about a few things and listening to music. I guess my thoughts and the music must've clashed, I started to get that feeling again. Tight chest, hard time breathing and feeling a bit confused. I figured it was really bad timing to have an episode, so I tried to supress it, well it kinda backfired. I could breath better and my chest didn't hurt anymore, but all the sudden my scalp and face started to burn and itch like crap, when I looked in the mirror my face had a firered rash all over. It took over an hour to get rid of the rash.


Any suggestions how I can handle this better?

Btw, I can NOT afford therapy...lol

Slow down, keep with one thought at a time and if needs be talk to someone close to you about things. Don't overburden yourself with things that are not of necessity at the time. Just take it slow, best advice I can give.

Take some deep breaths in and blow out during this time think of something that is calming for you and something that is soothing to you a picture if you will in your mind and see if this helps oh yeah mabey turn the radio station!!!happy

Go see a doctor and get on some meds for anxiety. I'm on med and if it wasn't for the meds I would probably go crazy

funny thing, i know these solutions, but at the time couldn't think of a single one

maybe hearing it from others will make it easier to remember

See a doctor and get on medication. Try not to think about things that will make you upset. Have some kind of rash cream with you. flowerforyou

a friend of mine keeps a lavender scented sachet in her purse at all times....occasionally she will hold it ,crinkle it,or just wave it near her face (or all three) she calls it aroma therapy and swears by it. It calms the senses...me I need valiums ...lol
Might be worth a try to keep something like that on your dash.

but i just tell myself to calm down here

im on lorazepam and valium for my anxiety at the moment, in conjunction they are helping.
