There is no "Route 66" anymore. The highway was decommissioned back in 1984. There are groups trying to preserve the history of it though. And there are various sections still with the designation of "66" although it's a State thing rather than a national highway. |

I learned to drive on it...so I had kicks and a couple of close calls...and mom got a few early gray hairs.
