my son had a buddy ( Matt) that he went thru Paris Island with,. they picked the same MOS and spend almost 8 years in the same battalion. They were both in their last year and were going to open a gym together when they got out. They were even looking into financing the equipment and learning about how to set up a business. They were excited.
Great kid, always smiling and always pleasant and polite full. Never spoke about work and wasn't gun ho. Matt didn't make it home. I think of him a lot.. and his parents. God Bless our troops, Allied and American... and their parents. |

Broncos beat pats in overtime at home without their starting quarterback Peyton Manning. Instead it was up to backup quarterback Brock Osweiler to take on Tom Brady and the then undefeated New England Patriots in a true thriller of a game on Sunday night football. The weather didn't help Osweiler with snow falling often heavily for the entire game. Osweiler's performance thorough out the game made it hard to believe he was not a starter. Am I the only person who thinks marriage is the worst thing that can happen to you? I am terrified of losing my name, my independence, and my control of myself. If you think of it, the day you say I do it goes from I to us, I like to we like ,And with the generation I'm apart of we would rather drop a marriage than fight to make it work. I am aware that I come from a divorced home so I already have trouble believing in a love that lasts, but I don't write all of this to rant,I write it because I got to thinking and how great would it be to meet someone who made me get over my fear of love because the fear of being without them is worse. Someone who makes me happy to loose my independence or rather be most my self when I'm with them.

who? who is the favorite topic of this thread right now 'the black community' I have no need or desire to pass some litmus test of approval by sharing the different things being done in the thousands of black communities around the country its something, for anyone truly wishing to know, that is easily researchable,,,,though it would have to be narrowed down to SPECIFIC black communities as opposed to the general and larger 'black community' no.. no, I'll take your word for it. So 1000's of black communities around the country are doing something about black on black crime ( because that is what we are talking about).. 1000's of black communities... 1,000's.... Wow.. seems the problem is bigger then any of us thought... Well lets hope they start to make some sort of headway.. because in the meantime the only businesses in these areas with no vacancy signs hanging outside are the funeral homes and the prisons. |

I ride my motorcycles every chance I get. It has nothing to do with power or ego as 90% of the time I am alone out there ( or with one person).
It has everything to do with riding down the ocean roads or up thru the mountains in fall. everything is different when you ride. You feel the different air currents, you smell the trees, you see things that you would not see in a car. And the best of all is.. your cell phone is off, you are disconnected from everything Sometimes I will just pack a change of cloths, maybe take a friend and just go.. for a long weekend trip to no where.. whichever way the bike goes. and just pull into a hotel when it gets late. See all the small town.. just cruise around out there and relax. that is paradise to me. |

they could start with standing up to the crime that their own are committing. Be it thru community leadership or churches. Form marches against that.. the core of the problem. They could start by taking back their neighborhoods street.And stop marching against ridicules caused such as black Friday Is that not possible or is it easier to blame Lord & Taylor? It is possible, but like I said.. they would be the next ones getting shot... and they know it. that is why the X men are not there.. they have had the time.. that's for sure. but you see.. they don't want to get shot either, so... no show. and would that be proven by what? no more crime happening? how do you know what measures thag BLACK COMMUNITIES are taking or not taking ? is it possible that police brutality AND crime be addressed in different places and different ways simultaneously? I know you are hoping for failure amidst all the faux concern,, but we got this,,, even if its not on the approved timeline of critics and media bullies,,,,who wish instead that we just remain silent until our own neighborhoods meet some standard that they decide is good enough for us to have a right to be concerned about other things,,,, So do enlighten all MS, what steps is the black community and leaders actually doing to address Black on Black crime and the murder of their people.. by their own people. what are they doing about it -------------------------------------------------------------------- I know you are hoping for failure amidst all the faux concern,, but we got this -------------------------------------------------------------------- you got what?... and who exactly is "we". I was thought the old fashion way . Frying pan to the head if ever was disrespectful to a woman . Even though I'm divorced we left on good terms . And have the best of respect for each other for the sake of raising our kids with respect for others and to always help out our elders .when asked too . With all that said !
