Thank you, but there is no greater force I would have protect me than our men and women of all the United Stated forces. If feeding a few is all I can do, then I am most happy doing it.

Thank you for doing that. There is nothing like a home cooked meal when you are in the military.

I have a small place and try to keep a safe haven here. We not only eat, but watch movies and play board games. Anything to keep them from getting too homesick.

Wow that is wonderful.

You are making me blush. it is such a small thing. just do what I can.

I have had the pleasure of having some of the young men here for homecooked meals and when they were coming home, they dropped several hints. So I have very happly to oblige with homecooked meals. It was the least I could do for them.

That was really nice of you.

Can I stand in line too. I don't cook for myself anymore. I mostly nuke it. Then eat it while I am on the computer so I don't have to be alone.

Sure you can. love to cook when I have people who enjoy it.

Sounds great what are we having for dinner?drool

Pork ribs in the crock pot. Love my crock pot!!! Not sure what we are having with it. Have to check the cabinet. Maybe just ribs. laugh

My brother in law is of the Vietnam era and is still in touch with his buddies. Hard to believe he is still having nightmares and a hard time after all these years. I hope we have learned as leson well. I know I have, though even as a youngster I had respect.

Me too. I have many friends I still stay in contact with.

I am beginning to think that is very important. I hope our young people will do that as well.

My daughter has handled it pretty well. Considering we are not from a military family. And this was a first tour for both of them. I am proud of them and all of our military. I have learned so much repect and admiration. I have always had repect for our military but it has gone way up having lived through some of this being close to us.

Are you retired Air Force? I am in the heart of Army country here. My daughter is dating a young man who just got back from a tour in Iraq. We are so glad and grateful to have him back.

I have been through the Appalachians once a long time ago. Very pretty and foggy. But have been told that the Rockies are the real deal. laugh

I bet it is beautiful there. Colorado was on my place to visit when I was younger. I would like to see the Rockies (real mountains) just once before I leave this earth. Maybe one day.
