yeah i don't mind if they have pic of other stuff. you're right, give a lil insight, but have a pic of yourself too. and if you're not going to have any pic, you better have a damn good explaination of yourself in your profile. things that interest you and whatnot. and if ALL your pix have you and another of the same person in them, make sure you inform on who YOU are. that get highly confusing! The "more-than-one-person-no-clue-which-is-the-person-the-profile-belongs-to" pic is one of my true pet peeves (although I have several thousand others). SInce I'm not planning on meeting anyone from here, the "real pic" issue is less crucial to me, overall -- but if I was actually going to meet someone in person, I would be unlikely to go through with it unless I had seen a real pic.... yeah but then people get all butthurt "oh you're so superficial" you're damn right. i know what i like and you can be as nice as nice can be and like all the same things i do but if there is no chemistry, how do you expect to take the relationship to a physical level? |

well **** it. i do love the beach. because i like to camp there, and it's serene and i live somewhere that doesnt have a beach so it's a treat when i do get around to getting to the coast. i didn't copy off of anyone's page. it's an interest of mine so i put it down. just like singing and writing and taking my kid to the park. they are things i find fun and that make me happy. Wow, I guess you think this whole topic is about you huh? yes that's exactly what i thought. that's 15 people from all around the country all looked at my profile and posted a topic about it. wow, you're so smart! and it seems, you've totally got my number! |

"I don't know what to write here." "I'll fill this out later." "My friend told me about this site and I'm not going to write anything here until I see if it's worth it." "Anything you want to know, you'll have to ask." "I'm laid back and easy going." "I love my friends and family." "I'm different from anyone else you've ever met." (Then their profile is a word-for-word identical copy of the last 285,000 I've read.) "I'm a single mother of two kids and they are my world." "No game players." "I like going out or staying in." "I'm a fun person who likes to have fun." (A COMPLETE profile from another site.) "I'm me." (Another complete profile -- how very informative!) Profile pictures with more than one person and they never bother to tell you which one the profile belongs to. Misspelled words are bad, yeah. Inability to use apostrophes correctly. "Tired of dating loosers." "Good sence of humor." etc. sounds like you want a woman with absolutely nothing or anyone in her life. maybe you'd be better off with a blow up doll. she doesn't say anything and has no attachment to anyone else ever! |

yeah it's kind of pointless to come to a dating site and not post a pic of yourself. "i want someone to know my personality before they see what i look like." um, either way it goes, if they like you enough to meet you they will see your physical appearance, so you might as well just get it out of the way. there is no way in HELL i would ever meet somoene offline without first seeing a pic of them. call me superficial, whatever, fact of life: physical attraction is one of the key elements to a lasting relationship. deny all you want. but you know it's true.

people that don't have pix. i mean come on, you're on a "dating" site, post a pic! people that don't write anything about themselves, im like, seriously, that just makes you seem really boring and uncreative. guys whose headlines read "looking for sex" or "just here for a lil fun" please. isn't that what myspace is for? lol
