masisonman: getting your throat cut is also very unpleasant and is most often fatal, so is strapping a bomb to people and detonating it in a crowded place. Gee let me see do I want to be water boarded or have my throat cut, decisions decisions, decisions, I just can't seem to make up my mind.
Do you get to choose your own topics now or is your professor still picking them for you? |

Darth Nader strikes again

Quit Whinning. We had to put up with Perot stealing votes from Bush 1 and then from Dole that allowed Clinton to be elected twice. So if Nader causes the liberal socialists to loose that's politics. What goes around comes around.
Here is a conspiracy theory for you I bet the RNC paid Nader to run. As for the electorial college when it worked in the liberal socialists favor and got Kennedy elected it was great, when it didn't work in their favor they whine and want to change things. I know you all would rather just have a socialistic dictatorship but that's not going to happen for a while and it will probably result in a civil war when you try, just remember it's un Neocons who have all the guns. |

When there are no facts to support the argument all liberal socialists change the subject, "thank Bush for the deficit........" or resort to personal attacks and name calling "Rush is a drug addict and pedophile" That wasn't the question the Question is "Exactly what has Obama accomplished?" The answer is "NOTHING!' He promises change but he can't define his plan for change, He is all smoke and mirrors. The Liberal Socialist Mantra "Promise them the world and give them just enough to keep them loyal".

Madisonman do you ever have an original thought or do you just cut and paste what your Political Science Professor tells you to? Please look back on this forum and check Gary86 and Gina22, perhaps Davinci and Fitnessfanatic you will see all of your posts were posted by them months ago SSDD. If you can't strive for accuracy, at least strive for originality.

Twilight Twin:
Investing your tax return instead of spending it is a very smart thing to do. I have quite a few stocks and mutual funds and I use Wells Fargo Investment Services through my Wells Fargo Bank. They don't charge me a maintanance fee, they only charge me a commission on any trades I make. They have concilors who will be willing to talk to you for free and advise you on how to invest your money. First you must decide on what strategy to prusue. Are you looking for fast growth? long term growth and stability? dividend income? The financial councilor will discuss all of this with you and help you select investments based on your intentions. Remember that the greater the potential for growth the greater the risk. Mutual funds help to spread the risk over a great number of stocks and therefore are more stable but usually pay a lower return. All stocks, bonds and funds are rates from 4A the best on down the lower the rating the greater the risk and the greater the potential. Good luck |

Figures don't lie but liars figure. Don't talk rate of murders per 100,000 people talk total numbers and then see where the bodies stack up. We have a smaller population so 2 murders would skew our figures, in Portland however 2 murders would be a drop in the bucket. Once again explain how Washington D.C. ended up the murder captiol of the U.S. several years running, I guess those were drug o.d.s Well, if we are going to remove the ability to discuss figures in proportion to one another.. I really don't have much to add. It is clear that you believe the sole reason DC maintained its claim to fame is solely because of the ban on handguns. Completely disregarding the study that suggests it significantly reduced the deaths in the city. I could argue the point for days to come... Maybe simplify it more and more as we go. But why would I? Sometimes a mushroom prefers to be a mushroom. It can be so much better to sit in the dark on a pile of crap. In other words...Ignorance is bliss! Talk about a mushroom, you maintain that banning guns will cause a decrease in crime yet a place where they are forbidden claims the title of Murder Capitol of the U.S. several years running. Talk about sitting in a pile of crap and being blissfully ignorant my unregistered legally owned firearms have killed less people than Ted Kennedy's or Bill Janklow's cars. Yet you somehow seem to think that by disarming me it is going to have a significant effect on the crime rate. Here is a news flash for you if a criminal is intent on comitting a crime he don't give a big rats ass about the fact that it is illegal for him to have a firearm. He is a criminal, breaking the law is his business. He is damn good at what he does because otherwise he would be in jail or would be forced to get a job to support himself. One thing that he does know is that where firearms are against the law, the chances of his victim being able to defend themselves is greatly reduced and his job is a whole hell of a lot easier. Using statistical figures to support your argument is a way of sugar coating the less than savory number of dead. A murder rate of 1 per 100,000 would equal 7 dead bodies in South Dakota that same rate would equal several hundred dead bodies in Los Angeles or another major city. But if you use the statistical figures you can say wow we have a murder rate as low as South Dakota but when you start counting bodies things look a little different. I am sure the hundreds of grieving families in a major metropolitan area would take great consolation in the fact their city had a murder rate as low as South Dakota. |

Affairs and even allegations of rape never hurt your liberal socialist icon Bill Clinton, why would you want to take McCain to task for it if it is true which coming from a secret source at the NY Times makes suspect. Do I see a double standard here?

"Reducing the available legal weapons..will reduce the available illegal weapons.
Owning weapons.. is statistically shown to be more dangerous then not owning weapons." Talk about cherry picking statistics what about manufacturing your own? It is illegal to own a handgun in Washington D.C. yet for several years in a row they were the murder capitol of the U. S. how do you account for those statistics. I would be interested to find out where you got your statistics. I got my figures from ABC's Dateline Program. If your statistics are correct then there should be more crime and murders here in South Dakota because we have more guns. Once again the Liberal Socialist argument falls flat. In Washington D.C. the law abiding citizens don't have weapons but all the crooks do. Why is it that the Liberal Socialists think if you pass a feel good law against something that everyone will comply with the law? It sure as hell don't work with the dope most of them smoke what makes them think it will work with anything else. Those who don't study history are doomed to repeat it. We tried prohibition with booze, it didn't work, so we tried it with drugs, that didn't work either so what the hell makes them think that it will work with guns or anything else. It is absolutely STUPID to do more of the same thing and expect different results yet they continue to do so. |

Hydrazine or more specifically UDMH Mix, is Unsymetrical Dymethyl Hydrazine mixed in equal parts by volume with Anhydrous Hydrazine is an extremely flammable, corrosive, poison. It forms a flammable mixture with air in any concentraion between 2.9% and 98%.
It will iginite spontaeously on contact with any oxidizer including rust which is iron oxide. It may also spontaneously combust when it contacts porous materials such as earth, wood or cloth and may decompose and ignite when exposed to air. The OSHA permissible exposure limit is 1 part per million. It is classified as a carcinogen. Because of it's extreme volitility it is always transported and stored in containers that are pressurized with Nitrogen an inert gas. The chances of a thousand gallon container of this stuff surviving the heat of re-entry and not rupturing and igniting when it hits the ground are almost nonexistant. Remember that the space shuttle also uses this fuel for it's steering rocket motors and it's retro rockets that slow it enough to re-enter the earth's atmosphere. We have had two shuttles explode, one on launch and one on re-entry. in neither case was there any contamination from the fuel. Additionally, at least one type of military fighter plane carries a 30 gallon supply of hydrazine as an emergency fuel supply to give it additional flying time in case it runs out of fuel. Several of these have crashed and there was no contamination from the fuel. It is pretty much a given if hydrazine gets out of it's container and contacts much of anything or is exposed to a heat source it is going to burn up. The Hydrazine makes a nice cover story but there was something else on that spy satelite that they didn't want hitting the ground. Additionally it was a nice display to show the Russians how accurate our ABMs are. |

It is foolish to do more of the same thing and expect different results. If you do the same thing you always did, you get the same thing you always got. You can't find something different by looking for the same thing over and over and it appears that is what you are doing. I know this sounds cold and clinical but make a list of what you are looking for in a guy. Be very honest about it. Then compare that list to the characteristics of the guys from the failed relationships. I think you will see a pattern develop.
The fault lies not in the stars dear Ceasar but in ourselves. good luck and God Bless |

Does the fact that the ACLU was founded and headed by a devout communist mean anything to you? Once again the liberal socialists are calling the conservatives fascists. The fascists have always been and always will be liberals. Do your homework and check the history books.

Actually when I took the test I failed miserably, I couldn't imagine anyone but a devout communist making those kinds of statements and certainly not a member of the U.S. Government. Boy was I wrong.
You will get the same thing from Obama, he has already stated his position. He has attacked the CEO of Exxon about his wages while accepting support and endorsements from George Clooney who made twice as much as the CEO of Exxon and also from Ophra who makes billions. |
