this church is infamous for this there is no way for me to convince you one way or another thats nots the point but to sit there and think that just cause this church is sitting under a holy name doesnt make it infoulable man is flawed and in case you forgot man runs the church So it's one church? And it's known for this practice? Sounds to me like it's a bad church, I wouldn't go there. But how is this an indictment on religion in general? I'm not saying that the church is infallible, but I'm not going to allow one negative story, with no supporting material, to paint my opinion of organized religion. |

the church is the body of christ but the church has become so corupt that the blood of the lamb is being spilt and the decons look the other way The Church has always been corrupt! this event should help them understand this Why should I believe that this happened? If I assume that this event you described is true, why should that negatively influence my opinion of any other church? Why should it negatively influence my opinion of the church in question, when I don't know their financial information, how much money the woman requested or how many others the church is helping? There is always someone looking to give religion a black eye, why should I take such a negative story at face value? I know someone who was in a similar situation and got the help she needed. Not from the first church she went to, but after several. Many people are needy this time of year and no church can help everyone who comes to their door. If they did, then they would have to close their doors permanently. |
