1 Corinthians 6:9-10 warns us, "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God."

And 1 Corinthians 6:13b, 18 tells us, "Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without (outside) the body; but he that commiteth fornication sinneth against his own body."


1 Corinthians 10:6-8 reads, "Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand."

And Galatians 5:19-21 reads, "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness ... of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."


1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel (body) in sanctification and honor, not in lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which do not know God."

Ephesians 5:1-3, 5, "Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savor. But fornication, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not once be named among you, as becometh saints...For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God."

Revelation 21:7-8, "He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."




Those scriptures make me think of this scripture:

Romans 12 NLT

A Living Sacrifice to God

1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

I realize the Bible isn't popular literature these days, however, the Apostle Paul wrote in the book of Romans that "same sex" practices were pretty much a bad thing. Our society can say what it wants....in the end....His Word will prevail.

The main source of proof in the millions of witness who saw Jesus and watched his wonders.People from every walk of life saw what he did.Even kings,guards,soldiers,and priests not only witnessed what Jesus did but some wrote books about him.

The bible is historically acurate.You can compare the bible locations,people,and events to any historian or scientist and they will not deny that those people and places did not exist.Even if you take the bible out completely,you can compare other non religious books to the people and events that happened back then.

People died in the name of Jesus.Many people died very horrible deaths for being associated with Jesus.People don't die for something they just made up.

Jesus was prophesized in the old testament.The way Jesus lived and died was all predicted hundreds of years before he came.Since the old testament spends a great deal of time talking about Jesus if you were to deny Jesus you would basically have to deny the old bible.We all know you can't just pick and choose what you want to believe in the bible.

People from all over the world had experiences where they were sick and healed by Christians.No other religion in the world has had so many stories of miracles,people being healed by the holy ghost,gotten off of drugs or alcohol,stopped thoughts of suicide or depression,ended abusive marriages,etc.These stories of people given hope where there was none would easily average hundreds a day.No other religion even comes close to the testament of Christians.

Ask any Christian if they feel the power of Jesus in church and you will always get the same answer.Yes

There were also many witnesses of those events that were still alive at the time the Gospels were written. If there were discrepancies we would of known about it because the people would of been in an uproar and would of disputed the Gospels. Not one person did!


It's also important to remember that what Jesus did was so important and serious that talking about or admitting you were with Jesus was a swift death.Practicing Christianity would also get you a death sentence even years after the events.It was because of these reasons that the bible was not written till some 20 years after Jesus's death.It's also worth noting that Christianity has never been a religion where it is forced onto nonbelievers through death threats or beatings(like the Muslim religion where you don't have a choice in believing in another religion).To say that billions of people came to Jesus on their own free will says alot.

How true. Even now, literally millions are coming to Christ of their own free will each year! Christianity is spreading in Muslim nations (and others) where people risk their lives everyday to carry a Bible and confess Christ.

Great post Feral! You did sum it up, so I am just going to add a few other thoughts that came to mind...

I think of Christ's love for us! Even while we were still sinners, He loved us and died for us!

I think of His compassion. To expound upon what you had said earlier Feral, I imagine Jesus and His disciples at the last supper and Judas Iscariot given the place of honor. Even though Jesus knew what he was going to do, he still honored him with the best seat and kept giving him love. But then again, he knew that all his disciples would be scattered and that Peter, passionate, walk-on-water full of faith Peter would deny him three times shortly after the Roman soldiers took Him (Matthew 26:31-35). Yet, He loved them anyway. He knew what the Roman soldiers, the Pharisees and Sadduces, His disciples, and religious people were going to do, yet He died for them anyway.

You know what I think? Judas Iscariot didn't have to go to hell. It was not enough for him to feel bad and have remorse for what he did, he needed to repent and ask forgiveness, but instead he let his own guilt and shame persuade him that he was no good and never would be. So he did the unspeakable.


Matthew 27:1-5 (New International Version)

1Early in the morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people came to the decision to put Jesus to death. 2They bound him, led him away and handed him over to Pilate, the governor.

3When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders. 4"I have sinned," he said, "for I have betrayed innocent blood."

"What is that to us?" they replied. "That's your responsibility."

5 So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.


Peter, and I am sure the other disciples as well, felt guilt and shame for denying Jesus, scattering, cursing, and not following Him to the cross, yet they repented of their sins and received forgiveness so that they no longer walked in shame. Why didn't Judas do that???

I also think of Christ's death, burial, and His resurrection. Now we who admit that we are sinners, believe that Christ was born of a virgin, died on the cross for our sins, believe that on the third day He rose and ascended to the right hand of the Father, confess that Jesus is Lord, and invite Him to come into our hearts and lives become born again. Then the old is gone and in with the new. He purchased our salvation, forgiveness of sins, and wholeness in every area of our lives when He died on the cross. He rose, conquered death, hell, and the grave and sits at the right hand of the Father and ever lives to make intercession for us. Jesus said,
"I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)." (John 10:10 Amplified Version)

So, that is just a small part of what I think about when I think of Resurrection Sunday (Easter) and all that He did for each one of us.

Prophesied by Isaiah:

Isaiah 53 (New International Version)

1 Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

God is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living! Glory to God, Christ is Risen!!!!

I saw it at the theatre and it was awesome! My church has a cell group for married adults or people believing for restoration of their marriage to go through the 40 day love dare. Awesome book too.:smile:
