Yea, I know Ive done this but why do people come on a thread where it clearly says what it's about and bash, or make fun? If you have done it yourself then you might just ask yourself that question. I did not see any bashing or making fun. If you have no sense of humor, I'm sorry. People take themselves and the world much to seriously. And lastly, the idea expressed is about "sin" which is a controversial subject and in being so, demands to be challenged. jb and i really disagree on your ideas here, if your not godly than sin isnt in your vocabulary, so you should only know that people that are religious should answer to this post, if not religious than at least believe in god... in the bible it tells you what a sin is. their is no cross interpretations of it or misrepresentations of it. you are a secular person, so a sin is a defilement in god, or a person or yourself... thats it. thats all. I am not expecting everyone to agree with me, but you say that only people that are religious should answer to this post. I am not sure what you mean by "religious." (You can be religious if you get up every morning and brush your teeth religiously.) But if you mean that only Christians should answer this post or any religious doctrine that subscribes to the idea of "sin" then you are excluding some people and I believe that is against forum rules. I'm not too familiar with the term "secular person" and I don't know what you mean by that either. I am well aware that the Bible tells you what "sin" is and that is my point. Outside of the Bible the word has absolutely no meaning at all. I'm partially okay with religion, but christianity and catholicism, I genuinely feel, should be educated out of existence. No one thing has caused as much human death and suffering as those two religions, so yes, I'll be a little confrontational to people who defend it like it's gospel, which it obviously isn't. well dude, i hope god touches your heart because you are confused... evolve?? never... |

ok, their is this girl she is overseas. and i am not rascist but she is like indian, not native american the other. she is very pretty, and i think she is the right one because she is in my religion and loves the lord... but for some reason part of me thinks will like friends and stuff make fun of me because i am dating an indian girl...... i know this sounds immature but i know she is a good girl for me wholesome... and very pretty, and shes not muslim shes christian... what do you think? |

wasnt "burning man" something they went to in a episode on 'malcolm in the middle'? i dont know possibly? i know on an episode of family guy they went to burning man... is basically a week long party in the desert with like 50,000 people and everythings free and everyone contributes to the art... and when you get their you almost feel like your in a cult because everyone says "welcome home"...lol kinda creepy |

anyways i went to burning man in 2005, the theme for that year was "psyche". while it was fun at the time and i had alot of goodtimes its not something i would attend now... i am religious and their is alot of religious down play their... also i beleive religious down play is just as bad as someone shuving a bible in your face and wont be quiet about it.. so anyways i had a blast at the time because i was drunk and spun out and on hallucinogens... it was a CRAZY fest man... but like i said i would never go to it agian, plus the meaning behind burning man really isnt for me... i believe wer made for life, for love for god, not to burn our past and everything suddenly cleansed and ok... and again this is just my oppinion religion is my thing, im not saying it has to be yours... so describe your experience at BURNING MAN... |

Yeah, the bible is kind of old, and is probably due for some revisions. Divorce isn't acceptable either, yet more than 50% of people are fine doing that these days. Personally, I think it should be made much more difficult for people to get married or make babies to begin with. Like couples counsellings, written exams including lengthy essays about why they want to marry and how they plan on making it last. THEN there should be a marriage probation. You should have to survive married life 5 years before your benefits kick in. I think that if these rules were put into effect, less people would jump into ****e they're not ready for. the bible needs no revisions, it is still as valid today as it was when it was formulated Um, no. Not really. It also used to be a deadly sin to eat pork. This was because people didn't have the means to cook it at a high enough temperature and they actually did die. This is just one example. yes it still is it has nothing to do with temp... if you actually read the scritpure it says not to eat animals with split hoofs, also how come it says not eat chicken? they used to eat it back then and i know if you do not cook chicken all way you could easily gte terribly sick... pork is unclean because of the fat... do your homework... it also says not to eat shellfish(crab lobster shrimp) because they are bottom dwellers who eat anything.. lol you must read the bible before you quote it... my religion doese mnot eat pork, in fact most are vegitarians Do your homework.... it IS about cooking pork all the way through as it has similar bacterias as chicken....ever heard of salmonella? Do your homework, no red crayon for you! where in the bible doese it say that? it says pork is unclean... i know any meat you dont cook all the way you will get bacteria poisoning... but thats not what the point of that rule is... in the bible it states that pigs are unclean animals It said that pork was unclean because people who ate it died of trichinellosis. They didn't know it was because it wasn't prepared properly. They knew that if they ate this meat, the got sick and died. well why didnt they say that about chicken too??? |

I have friends/aquaintences of all sorts of different races, black, mexican, egyptian, jewish, etc...I get along with anyone of any race, as long as they are respectful....the only people I have a problem with are those who have a problem with me...and those who try to act like something they are not... I believe the real you is the best way to be, and I believe in being proud of who you are... So, again, I am NOT racist, but I am a firm believer in "White Pride"...no different then "Brown Pride", Black Pride"etc. "PRIDE", in this sense, simply means you are proud to be the color that you are, but you respect all people except for those who disrespect you. Anyone want to add other comments tohelp state the point I am aiming at more clearly, or is this sufficiently self explanitory? i hate to tell you this but jewish is not a race its a religion... you could say hebrew... although you can be a gentile converted to judaism |
