You know back in the day being a DJ actually had some status. People went to the nightclubs to actually listen for music that a DJ would play waaaaaay before it made it onto the radio. DJs are the heart and soul of that night club. They were the ones who really promoted real musicians. Now when people go clubbin, all they want to hear is the same top 40 crap that's on the radio. Basically they want a human juke box. Real DJs take you to a journey with the music. A person can have all the music in the world, but it's how the music is played to make the booty start shakin on the dance floor. To call DJs musicians is like callin beatboxers singers.
