Once upon a nightmare not so long ago
A hand was extended down to me as darkness closed in
Ambiguous fingers trembled like leaves in a hurricane,
Trust was foreign, real friends were merely fairy-tales
Leery of this stranger I stewed in the dark some more
Until there came a day when the darkness was too much
Again he offered a hand up, this time it was gratefully accepted,
Time and events kept the same monotonous stride
But a friendship was flourishing, Days were long and hellish
The result, A bond that no matter the distance can never be broken
Fear has clawed it's way to the top of my world
I'm trying to stand strong behind him
But the ground is giving way,
Always the super-hero when the world begins to collapse
He never asks for anything in return, no matter what it takes I'll be strong for him
Once upon a nightmare came the strongest friendship I've shared but one other time
He's a little like Yoda, with the craziness of Boa and Luke duke
And the gentlest soul one could ever know
Without the gift of his love and friendship
These dreams would've all been a waste,
My heart would be a cold stone floating in darkness
Soon he must face the sands of hell
Tears stream down a pale face
Fear shattered a steady voice
A thousand questions play through my mind
But pride has made itself a home forever in my heart
At just nineteen he must go right a wrong
Defender of our freedom...
Protector of the innocent
Frightened beyond belief
I will stay Army strong no matter what it takes
Because he is my best friend

theres less drama there too

its not that people get to me its lifes stress factors are multiplying and im tired of drama
