I don't appreciate slang or ridiculous abbreviations if there's romance or wooing involved. It can become quite confusing when one receives a "I like you... LOL". I don't know how to respond to that. 
But, I do enjoy emojis and I have a few favourite ones that I use and that I like receiving from my "love interest". With that said, I use slang if I'm annoyed and trying to make a point. 
I tend to use words when I am annoyed .. including some very colourful ones . |
