Darkness covered the sky. In so many ways it reminded Sydney of everything about her life that she hated. Having recently added her husband to the missing person's list at the police station hadn't helped matters much. She realized they had been having some problems lately, but still there was no reason for Terrence to just leave. Especially without saying anything.

Sydney settled on the porch swing, resing her hands upon her knees. She rolled her engagement ring around her finger and stared at it, now dull from time and wear. "Where are you, Terrence?" She asked out loud. "Why did you leave me?"
