I say to each their own. While I am not personally out looking for an 18 year old, I wont judge someone who is. ...and if circustances came about where I was interested in someone in that age group (and they were interested in me), I might consider it. LOL OK...maybe not 18...but 20-21, I'd think about it.

My honest opinion is that he probably doesn't mean it. I generally consider myself a decent guy, but (please don't kill me for this) I've even said that myself to try to ease the pain...despite the fact that I find it inconceivable to be able to remain friends with an ex.

Thanks for the advice, even those of you who didn't say things I wanted to hear.

LOL The "sort of" part is because of the on-again/off-again status as she pushes away when things start looking up.

I'm hoping someone will have some advice for me. I've been "sort of" dating my roommate for a while now, and the more I think about it, I feel that she is pushing me away because she is afraid of being in a relationship.

Of course, there's the obviously answer of "maybe she just doesn't like you." LOL ...but I'm pretty sure that's not it. She's mentioned to me before that her relationships pretty much only ever last a year, and it seems like she only starts pushing away when things in our lives start going smoothly.

I feel like we have potential for something long lasting if I can help her get past this hurdle. I hope that someone has something for me. :-)
